Re: Letters of Reccomendation -Reply

Dear Dr. David Healy:
You are hereby served notice that the Rev. Dr. Carl Wesley Glover,
formerly an ordained minister in a Southern Baptist Church, now with one
foot in Hell and the other on a banana peel, currently Director of the
Writing Center at Mount Saint Mary's College, has filed a civil suit
against you for defamation of character, slander, mail fraud, female
fraud, and for removing your mattress labels. The Rev. Dr. Glover
requested a letter of reference in his behalf as he sought employment at
another university. The Rev. Dr. Glover explained to us that he had
applied for the job of Writing Center Director at Fairfield University in
Connecticut, the position currently held by one Elizabeth Boquet, a.k.a.
"Beth" Boquet, a.k.a. "Chicken" Boquet (ha, ha). The reason the Rev. Dr.
Glover applied for Dr. Boquet's position is that she makes $42,000 per
year in only her third year in the position. The Rev. Dr. Glover has been
in his positon for 8 years and is a tenured associate professor but makes
considerably less than Dr. Boquet. He even tried to secure a personal
loan from Dr. Boquet, who apparently found his credit references (a
finance company, a bookie, and two loan sharks) unsatisfactory. Since Dr.
Boquet failed to lend the Rev. Dr. Glover the cash he so desperately
needed, he decided to apply for her position. The fact that Dr. Boquet
has no plans of leaving her position and that Fairfield University is
pleased with her work and plans to increase her salary is irrelevant to
this case. Time for a new paragraph.
Please be informed, Dr. Healy, that the basis for these charges
is the publication of your letter of reference on the WCenter List. The
Rev. Dr. Glover does not dispute the contents of your letter. In fact, he
praises it and has already printed out a copy and has sent it to his
mother. He belives that you have presented his credentials in the best
possible light and that your letter is the cornerstone of his dossier.
But when you went public with this letter, it alerted certain high-ranking
officials (like Dr. Byron Stay) at his current place of employment, and
now his current emmployers are seeking to replace the Rev. Dr. To
complicate matters with a bit of irony, the two leading candidates for the
Rev. Dr. Glover's replacement are Dr. Elizabeth Boquet and Dr. David
Healy!
In summary and in strict legal jargon, Glover is suing you for
screwing up his life.
					Yours sincerely,
