You got me there, Barb.  But isn't it illegal to record a 
conversation without the consent of the person to whom you 
are talking?  Perhaps such a recording wouldn't be admissible 
in a civil suit.  

I called someone once for some information about a candidate 
for a teaching position.  The person to whom I spoke simply 
told me that she couldn't comment on that candidate.  Can you 
be sued for that?
