RE: help! looking for peers

Holy Anxiety, Batman! I really feel for you, having to see some dean without a
clue on such sort notice, and without much solid data. here's some:

at California University of Pennsylvania, we compare favorably. we are a state
university, 6500 studetns, 40 undergrad program in three colleges, and 10-12
masters programs. we are primarily a walk-in center, but we take appointments,
and we have an OWL. we work with the entire university community, but heavily
in fyc. we are staffed by 8 undergrad work study hourly wage earners, plus
five grad assts. who receive tuition waiver and hourly wage. as director, I
receive 1/2 time to administer the center, plus 1/2 time teaching comp,
linguistics (both undergrad and grad). I am an associate prof in the English
dept.

hope this helps.
