Re: basic writers/software
Dear Margaret,
Dave Healy's hands can be seen on The Writing Center Channel. His
are the hands that turn the pages of the Writing Center Journal on the
daily broadcasts of our popular program "Reading the *Writing Center
Journal*" (without the asterisks, since this is a risk free program). In
case you haven't seen our show, it works like this: The camera gives a
close-up shot of an article in the *WC Journal*, two pages at a time
(verso and recto), and after a few minutes, Dave Healy turns the page.
That's when you see his hands. Every once in a while, he turns to the
list of works cited at the end of the article, in case anyone in our
viewing audience cares to check on sources. The only sounds on the
program are the rustling pages and an occasional muffled expletive when
Dave accidentally knocks the publication off its stand. We are proud of
these minimalist production values.
If you don't already receive the "Writing Center Channel," please
contact your cable operator. You won't regret it.
