Re: What's in a name?



I think the way to go is to find a cool acronym then make something fit.
Case in point:  our OWL isn't an online writing lab (too tied to the
physical) but Online Writing and Learning.  We might possibly be working
online w/ the big three (no, not the father, son, and holy ghost--in
Detroit it's Ford, GM, and Chrysler) using the OWL format, and Wayne Butler
thought we could change the acronym to OIL--Online Interactive Literacies
or something like that.  We'll let you know.  :-)
