Writing Center History

     Greetings from chilly Ohio!
     
     I'm a grad student at BGSU in Sue Simmons' History of Rhetoric and 
     Composition course.  I'm interested in the history of writing centers 
     (and tutors) and the roles they have played in the evolution of 
     student writing/composition.  Could anyone suggest any readings that 
     would be helpful in my quest?  I'd really appreciate it!
