Jon:
I believe that a new edition of the Index Medicus guide is published yearly. It
is housed in the Science Reference section of the main library here at Michigan
State University, but our medical/clinical library also keeps copies, as it is
particularly relevant to the medical fields.
I'm not sure, however, that the Index Medicus guide is as user-friendly or
formatted like the APA or MLA manuals are. The way I've become familiar with
the Index Medicus style is by looking through journals that prepare and publish
articles in the Index Medicus format. I believe that the _Journal of the
American Geratrics Society_ is one such journal.
Hope this helps!
