hi pat, i recieved some softwoare from 6th floor media (houghton 
mifflin) called common space which looks like what you might be 
looking for. and, a few years back, i was introduced to some software 
that was originally designed for lawyers cooperatively working on 
briefs which allows multiple users to work on documents at the same 
time. its called accent. please let me know if you need more info on 
either. j
