     Wow, you step away from the computer for one day and messages just 
     buzz around like summer flies. (bad metaphor, these messages were a 
     delight to read, and yet, as they piled I wanted to swat them away) 
     But alas, time to read them before driving home in a blizzard. 
     
     I'd love to help. My commitment to the NCTE conference wasn't fully 
     formed, but this would get me there.
     
     It also increases my interest in Utah. I'd been stategizing whether or 
     not I could go. Maybe a yes is in order.
     
     I like practicing what we preach. But even more, I'd love time to chat 
     with my colleagues around the country that I only meet here on-line. 
     Most conferences we rush around so much we don't sit and converse.
