Re: Need Feedback:NWCA
Of course we want LOTS of people participating! I've thought about asking
whether people would have to register for the conference to be inthe booth:
there are lots of writing center folk in the Detroit area who can't afford
the conference in terms of money, time or both--but they might be able to
take a half day off for the Conference Writing Center. We'll work this out.
By the looks of NCTE writing center attendance this year--there were
"enough" there to work a booth--probably.
The other possibility is that the booth is only open for consultation during
particular hours...in fact, I'm not sure I see it open all day every hour!
But then, now there may be a reason for writing center people to be there. I
sure intend to bring some publications and get feedback--what a great way to
get my own work done.
I think we have to use our high school constituency in more productive ways;
I would hope this would be a way to involve more of them too.
