Re: Motivating Correctness



I agree that students who come to the wc on their own are already
motivated, and even some of the students who are required to visit end up
coming back on their own.  I work with two freshmen, who were given the
option of spending 1/2 hour per week in the wc in lieu of a final exam.  At
first, this seemed to be their only motivation, but as their writing
progressed, it served as their main motivator.  And at our school, I think
the fact that we are peers only helps.

You believe it, Anne, because it seems to be true.
