Motivating Correctness

Grammar tricks are fun (sometimes) and handy, but isn't the real key 
finding a way to motivate students to want their work to be correct in 
all its details?  Once the motivation is there, it doesn't really matter 
how you learn the grammar you need, or the editing or proofreading 
strategies.  There is a discussion to be held on how courses can 
motivate students in this way, but on this list let's talk about what if 
any role the writing center can play.
