   Our situation here is the very similar to Jean Timpel's, except we're a
year behind her.  Tutor training this year consists of 3 sessions at the
beginning of the year, with as much additional instruction as I can pack
in during our weekly meetings.  Next year, assuming that the Tutoring
Writing course is accepted by Curriculum Council, tutors will be trained
in an X course (it goes on the transcript, but gets no unit credit and is
graded only with a credit/no-credit mark).
