Re: writing to learn



Lynne, There are a number of great web sites that will give you 
bibliographies on WAC.  The general items usually include references to 
Janet Emig, James Britton, and others who have written about writing as a 
mode of learining.  Try the University of Maine at Presque Isle, which 
has a good biblio. and, of course, the LALAC (Language and Learning 
Across the Curriculum) site.  I'm sorry I don't have the http addresses 
for these, but you can do an Alta Vista search under education and find 
them easily.
