Great Ideas on keeping tutors productive.  I also have collected a 
library of texts about composition theory and various types of writing 
which I encourage tutors to read when they are not busy.  We collect 
course syllabi, assignments, and sample essays from professors and tutors 
can review these.  I also heartily endorse the half hour writing-related 
discussions we have in the WC when no students are present.  We all learn 
a great deal from each other!
