please, use it but send feedback.

James,

Two years ago my WCTR staff made a video together to use in classes the
way you use your skit. We had great fun doing it (one of the consultants
produced it as part of her requirements for a major in communications.)
Each consultant wrote a bit of the script, depicting what we DON'T do in
the center (classes laugh at this when they realize it's O.K.). Then we
"replay" each scene again and talk about what we DO. I show this video
(called "Getting Centered: The 'Write' Way"--corny I know) to any class
whose teacher asks for an introduction to the Center. Response has been
positive, though I must say I cringe every time I see myself (I play,
guess what, the director).

It proved to be a great collaborative learning project for our staff--we
decided together what ideas we wanted to convey about the Center and how
to appeal to student writers. We laughed a lot too--something we all
needed at the end of the spring semester.

You might think about modifying your funny spiel for video purposes and
making your own movie--maybe something like a Saturday Night Live skit.
