We tried FPROT in our English Computer lab, but we weren't very happy
with it. Although FPROT found the CONCEPT virus, it didn't clean it off
the file. We had to delete the entire file to get rid of the virus. We
now use McAFEE, which seem to work much more efficiently. McAFEE scans
the hard drive at each start-up. It also can be set to check each
diskette whenever the user opens a file or saves to the diskette. When a
virus is found, it is cleaned off the diskette/drive without otherwise
disturbing the files.
