Discipline-Specific Writing Centers

     Hello,

     I am currently writing my dissertation on a discipline-specific writing 
center.  I'd like to know if any of you work in or direct 
discipline-specific writing centers that are for the most part staffed with 
people trained only in English Studies (Lit.., Ling., Comp., etc.).  For 
example, I work in an engineering writing center, and all of the consultants 
have backgrounds in English.  I'm interested in the dynamics that occur when 
consultants with backgrounds in English interact with students who have very 
different disciplinary backgrounds.
