I know that is coming a little late. I got only gobblefy goop over my modem
yesterday.
I sent the original post about magic this time. I think the subtext of my
message is exactly what you and Sara have specified.
However, not entirely. As any magician will tell you, what fascinates people
about magic (at least performance magic) is trying to figure out how it's
really done. People who won't listen to me until I say "magic" suddenly
want to know how we do that little trick. Maybe they'd even like to master
it themselves. Magic that cannot be replicated is just bad magic.
Other forms of magic? Metaphors, the stock market, a baseball game. Doesn't
everyone really want to know how they work?
