RE: accreditation -Reply

Centaurs--

I've kept quiet so far on this one for a number of reasons.  But I *have*
to respond to Mickey.  As one of the folks who've been pushing for
accreditation for a while now, I want everyone to know that any system I have
discussed *insists* on multiple models of excellence.

If we as Writing Center folks know anything, it is that one size never fits
all.  If we are to assess/accredit/whatever Writing Centers, it must be 
within their own institutional mission and context.  I would expect that we
treat ourselves with as much understanding as we treat our students.
