Katie,

That's why Jeanne's advice about going to the source of those ideas is so
wise--in this case and others. How others render and apply ideas is not
necessarily how those ideas would work in your context. I think TQM has
gotten a bad rap in higher ed because it's been used by some in ways that
rankle academic culture. But that's not necessarily grounds to indict
Demings principles.
