First I would do some research to see what software your clients are using.
If they are using word-processing software primarily, like Word, Claris
Works, Word Pefect, software that is cross-platform, then you could
probably do with just Macs and the PC exchange software that comes with
system 7.5x. Here at Daemen, there's a PC lab and a Mac lab. Students who
start assignments in the PC lab can pretty much just bring their disks to
the Mac lab, insert the disk in a machine, and double click their files as
long as the needed software is the same: Word 6, WordPerfect, ClarisWorks,
FileMaker, and such. The conversion of the file is transparent. Users never
really know what's going on. The only problem is if a writer starts a paper
in the Mac lab and goes to the PC lab expecting the same kind of Exchange.
Doesn't work on the PC end.
