D'Ann,
	We keep a very simple "Hallmarky" kind of blank journal behind our 
sign-in desk.  The journal tends to wander around the room, which I guess 
is a sign of a good journal.  Tutors write in it whenever there is time--
sometimes a lot and sometimes there are long quiet periods.  Everyone, 
however, enjoys having the journal around.  Quite simply, it's a very fun, 
informal way for us to communicate.
