RE: Public Journal ideas

Barbara,
We've used a public journal for several years at our wc, and during
that time there have certainly been many lulls in the action. One of the
tricks I've tried with good success is to write my regular "Director Notes"
to the tutors in the journal rather than on a separate memo. In my notes I
update everyone with various news and business as well as drawing attention
to previous entries in the journal--perhaps even asking some leading
questions to encourage a response. I've found that if the tutors continue
to read the journal, sooner or later they will write again. Good luck.
