I feel like yelling, "Me,too, me, too!"  Raised by an engineer and a math 
major, my (in)abilities in math stunned my family......and my teachers.  I 
understand the ideas, but I can't reliably do the calculations.  Lately, 
I've been finding answering machine particularly challenging  -- I do not 
often get the phone number people say slowly much less the ones said 
quickly.  When I leave a message with a phone number other than my own. I 
repeat the number 3 times.  With any luck, I will say the same number 2 out 
of 3 times.  I have found that talking to folks about my continuing 
math-related struggles puts LD folks at ease, makes it so no one ever 
volunteers me to be treasurer of anything, and occasionally I get some new 
information about resources.  Like some I picked up today.  Thanks.
