Not a pretty picture, Jeanne -- I just spent a year trying to get an
engineer to take me seriously and finally gave up; he topped out at
thinking I was kind of cute and creative. Grrrrr....

Yes, it's stuff like that and more. I happened to have today spent
three hours in a testing psychologist's office and had the pleasure of
having him raise an eyebrow as though I was pulling his leg when I
couldn't answer the most basic arithmetic questions. I dazzled him
with my GRE scores which are bizarre -- 240 or something in math, 780
verbal -- said he'd never heard of such a thing. Well.

I'll know more in a few weeks about the results of my tests and will
pass on anything juicy and generally useful. In the meantime, I know
the list will have gifts for us.
