Interactive Workshop Facilitator Wanted
The Writing Program at Bucknell is looking for a GOOD, INTERACTIVE, CROSS-
CURRICULAR workshop facilitator to lead a two-day workshop in January.
Some topics we have considered:
--the use of informal writing to teach (especially, but not limited to,
journals)
--the use of computers, the web, and email to teach writing across the
curriculum
--how to teach students to be more active, comprehending readers
--issues of diversity in the classroom (i.e. how race, gender, national
origin, disabilities, and other aspects of identity affect students' access
to classroom resources, as well as how they affect their writing and the
response they get to their writing)
If you know of someone who you think is an exceptional workshop facilitator
who addresses issues related to WAC, even if the person does not directly
address the above topics, could you let us know?
We are especially interested in someone who can speak to the needs of
engineering and natural science faculty as well as s/he speaks to the needs
of humanities and social science faculty.
Thank you. Please send all recommendations directly to:
