Re: writing programs for computer
Hello again,
Mary Nell asked about the community resources project our writing
center is doing. Our university is sharing resources with the community
via a web page. The project is called Aladdin, by the way. Staff
members brainstormed what to put together for writing resources, and the
list keeps evolving. So far, we have for resources: books(application to
grad/medical school, basics of writing books, business writing books,
handbooks, reference books, grant writing, memoir writing books, creative
writing
etc.); classes, at the community college, the university, adult ed, and
continuing ed; people--editors, organizers of memoirs etc.; writing
events like readings and I just now thought of contests!; ESL classes;
computer programs. We will also have a link to our grammar hotline.
That is all we have conceived so far. When we have finished(soon, I
hope, although we are annotation books, and that takes a little time),
computing services will get it up and running. We will gladly mail on
request.
I welcome suggestions.
Carole Lane
