Stephen, I do agree with you.  And your idea about what makes something
interesting is exactly what I tell my students.  What is hard is getting
students to realize they have the power to make anything interesting.  So
whether or not a class is fun or interesting is really up to the student,
right?

BTW, some of us southerners are shivering in the ice and snow.  I'm stuck
at home today, and my mules have ice balls stuck to their feet.  I'll
just tell them is up to them to make that experience fun and interesting.
