I've always been a performer. Not only jokes but standing on desks,
wisecracks, word games, tap-dancing, performing sections from plays
studied by the class, interpretative readings, even wearing costumes
(on Shakespeare Day [sponsored by our Sigma Tau Delta frat.] I came
to school as a Renaissance scholar; on Chaucer Day as the Prioress,
Lady Eglantine [it was easy to find a habit; south Louisiana is ripe
with nuns]).
but I've done theatre in the past. Oh, and sometimes I sing. But
I've learned never to keep still. I make just having to follow me
around the classroom entertainment.
