Re: Real world and marginalia
hi folks,
i understand antipathy for the "m" word as well, jeanne. Aside from that
i was just wondering online about the wierd things dysfunctional literacy
does to people.
have just coined a term? dysliteracy vs. euliteracy?
oh to hell with it.
antipathy for worn-out and/or cheaply coined buzzwords aside,
I liked the story about
the workplace teaching person who saw worker/students putting themselves
down. tragic, but much like what i see here amongst students who most
often are first generations in their families to go past high school.
and here they come to the very place that perpetuates the head-trip.
maybe i'm being just a WEE BIT CYNICAL at the moment, but sometimes i
feel like such a rat-bastard for being associated with educators that do
that to people's heads. I've gotta show i'm different....
hm...i need to watch a mel brookes movie REALLY BAD!
"We need to protect our phoney-baloney jobs."
