A cause for celebration

Friends,

It has come to the attention of some members of this list that today is  
the day that a certain WCenter member chooses to acknowledge both his  
constructivist and his expressivist selves, while at the same time not  
denying that these selves are subject to postmodern situatedness and  
flux.  Nevertheless, while some of you know Jon Olson for his erudition 
and sensitivity towards students and others appreciate his Dockers and 
hair products, we welcome all to join hands and, after a round of 
Kumbaya, wish Jon a healthy and happy birthday.
