Paula,
	What a fabulous idea.  That's a class students will be writing 
about in personal statements for graduate school and talking about in 
job interviews four years from now, I'd wager.  What I like best about it 
is that it balances personal authority and the demands of responding to 
an academically trained audience in a way that is not artificial.  Fine idea.
