yeah cliff, it works.

are you unsure because you don't see your own messages echoed back to 
you?  That was my problem in september.   there's some kind of 
monosyllabic message you have to send to the listproc to make it echo 
your own messages back at you.   beats me what it is.

the snow today in NW Ohio is really nasty.   i bought a new 
four-wheel-drive pickup before christmas, but the 4wd was only for the 
LOOK, not for really needing it.   ;-)

god didn't mean for texans to have to put up with this stuff; it was 
sunny and 50-ish during my holiday visit to family, practically warm 
enough for a barbecue.

and then i drove back.  bleah.

thanx to all the good folks who commiserate with me over our local 
pinhead who says WC is BS.  It could make an interesting compilation; too 
bad the list archive web doohicky at texas tech is on the fritz.  still, 
i'm saving every last one.   if y'all have the stomach for it, please 
send me more.

It's ugly as hell, partly because I've not really attended to making it look 
"outline-ey" with coordinate parts marked by the same size font.   I 
think I need to cut and paste a bunch of the text into subordinate .html 
files.

 But check out the graphic.  I'm so proud of one of the tutors.   He took a 
red satin, university-logoed  jacket, laid it on a page scanner, and 
made a jpeg file out of it.   bingo! artsy-fartsy!

OK, fine. it's a work in progress.   and there just isn't enough caffeine 
in the world.
