Re: MBTI and the like
This talk about the MBTI and the wc seems to be a return to the discussion
of the writing center as a site for psychological diagnosis. I think that
is a dangerous attitude. What happens if we diagnosis incorrectly but base
our approach on what we feel the writer's personality is? What happens if
we cause harm based on our diagnosis? I agree that a horoscope can probably
also give "an accurate description" as phrenology would. We could probably
tell a lot from bumps.
