Silly - buses

To Centaurs who also happen to teach courses:

Nicholls has just been through accreditation with SACS (Southern Assoc. of
Colleges and Schools?), and now syllabi in all courses have to revised to
meet particular standards. We have been given a copy of the standards, and I
was happy to see that I already have met most of these (so I didn't have
prereq's listed. ENGL 101 doesn't have ex/intensive prereq's.) However, the
uproar among my colleagues was amazing. The term "academic freedom" began
flying about so thickly I've starting wearing a hat to campus. Two
resignations have already been threatened. And all over changing one little
document.

Considering that I've been a full-time instructor for only a year, I guess
most of you will say "Welcome to Academe," but, gee whiz, graduate school
sure wasn't like this.
