Here's the URL for an MB-like  index I mentioned earlier.  It says it's 
for "personal use only".   OK, but does that mean that we WC folks 
can use it to understand our students if we don't attempt to use it in 
shrink-like ways?  Or what?

I agree, the potential for MB-ish info about student writers/tutors might 
be really great.  But what are the legal and ethical constraints, if any?
