The massive research project is exciting. As my previousl posting 
implied, I've thought for ages that WC people should coordinate research 
for maximum utility and maximum impact.

Given the $ problems, a modified plan might be: 
At the NEXT NWCA have a pre/during/post program defining research 
problems/questions and learning more about a few research methods. This 
would help people focus and help get the ball rolling while a more 
extensive meeting was planned to analyze data about a year later.
