If you use the "reply" function in your e-mail system, it ought to offer
you a "copy message?" prompt. And then probably an "edit message?" prompt.
The copy message prompt will allow you to have the whole message text on
screen to respond to and will include it when you post.  The edit prompt
will allow you to trim parts of it if you don't want the whole thing.
