RE: Revision: Who Else Hates It?

Liz--

I'm raising my hand on this one. I, too, hate to revise.

Now that we're past confessions, however, your real question--whether our
own preferences affect the way we work--is most important. I'd state
without blinking an eye that all of us begin by teaching the way we do things.

My own teaching changes happened after I started doing work in personality
theory. I now insist new teachers/tutors know something about their own
personalities and learning styles and how the personalities/learning styles
of their students may differ. While there is something to be said for
standardization, individuals do not function well in the "one process works
for all" system.

BTW, I do revise if someone makes me. I just don't like it.
