      **************************************************************

Welp, the great cyberporn debate rages on, and we have to think
about, among other things, the implications for and effects on
the use of the internet in our classrooms. To help us focus on
what are likely to be the hottest issues, we urge you to take a
look, if you haven't done so already, at the July 3, 1995 cover
story in _Time_ magazine--Philip Elmer-Dewitt's "Cyberporn."
If you don't want to track down a paper copy, you can find the
      article at:
      http://www.pathfinder.com/@@EZqWqAAAAAAAA0A/time/magazine/
      domestic/1995/950703/950703.cover.html
That site is hard to type and occasionally a bit stubborn, so
you might want to start at:
      http://www2000.ogsm.vanderbilt.edu/cyberporn.debate.cgi
There you will find a link to the _Time_ article as well as a
lot of other materials--including comments from visitors to the
site--that might also provide food for thought and for this
      week's cafe discussion.

      See you Tuesday!
