Bobbi, Karin, Steve, EVERYBODY,

This subject has me extremely tense for some reason. I feel that internships
and co-ops should be implemented on many campuses. At my university we are 
writing a proposal for liberal arts students to enter the technical 
field as writing interns. In this area we have NASA and many other industries
that have cropped up around it. The program will place students in 
positions for tech writing, art design for projects, newsletters, and 
other jobs that I can't think of. We also hope to link our university
to a nearby junior college as a sort of sister-school and set up internships
for teaching developmental writing courses. I would like to know if any
of your schools offer similar programs. If so -- share the knowledge! We 
don't need to get bogged down feeling sorry for ourselves. I know we
are poor righteous teachers, but I am sure there are ways of bettering
career opportunities after graduation.
