in my case, not much.  most days i think my three sons have not heard a
thing i have said in my 26+ years of parenting.  and part of me says that's
okay.  they are very independent young men -- come from very independent
stock, both men and women.  and as i think back, i'm sure i heard very
little of what my parents said to me.  and then every once in a while i
hear them say something i know i said to them and i know they have heard
me.  i don't very often get cited, though.
