No, I'm not bothered by our Center's practice regarding LD students. Some 
people on WCENTER are "offended" that our peer tutors don't regularly 
work with LD students. And someone else feels that I "can't be helped." 
But I feel that having our LD specialist  (who tutors in the Center along 
with the peer tutors) work with most of the LD students is the way to go. 
I realize that the power of peer tutors versus the expertise of the 
professional is an ongoing debate in the writing center field. My 
preference and the preference of the peer tutors last year was to go with 
expertise. As LD Coordinator, I felt that LD students deserved no less.
