I always have enjoyed

a good fight:)
But seriously, at the risk of enraging the "don't get so
personal" memebers of the wcenter group, I am desperate. I'd like to
pair my creative writing class second semester with students engaged in
similar classes and similar activities online. I'd be interested in
having my students work with students at other colleges/universities on
collaborative writing projects in poetry, fiction, and play/scene
writing. After being involved with numerous online projects across the
country, I find it works best when all teachers involved hold their
students accountable for e-mail work and arrange writing groups. I've
tried to subscribe and post this to a creative writing list without
success because I am unable to get the correct address from my colleagues.
My students (15-20) have access to both Internet and synchronous
capabilities. Most are juniors and seniors, several are Education majors
and
English majors. Our class meets on Tuesday/Thursday 8:00-9:35 a.m. cst.
(yeah, I know, who can be creative at that hour of the morning?) I think the
syncrhonous in class capability would be handy but not
necessary. Please let me know if you are interested in collaborating on
such an undertaking. Post either to me directly at the address given
below or send it to wcenter:) as the spirit moves you.
