The response so far
Well, Group,
When I logged on this afternoon, I had 90 messages,
bunches from you all. So far, 51 people have responded to the
query about setting the no-flame option. Of these, 44 people have
indicated that they would like the list to remain as it is; 7 have
indicated that they would like the no-flame option.
I'll continue to tally the vote.
I really appreciate the reasons for and against the no
flame option.
By the way, how many of you take the National Geographic?
Have you recently seen the issue about Animals and Play. Not
that I'm suggesting that Centaurs are a bunch of animals :>, but
the article discusses how important play is to the social
development of our four-legged friends and to human beans as
well. Makes me think of the kind of play that goes on here.
Some people play more than others, but through the play, we learn
to interact with each other, gaining information as well as
relief from stress.
And, another by the way, I didn't think I was a
proctologist, as Jon suggests, but then I looked up the term, and
discovered that yes, I do have those specific attributes.
Nevertheless, I'll defer to Carl Glover (recently tenured! Yea
for You!) to fill that role.
So, group. Please allow me to encourage us all to be
courteous and kind to each other so that we can continue to play
here on the list.
Ho. Ho. Ho.
