Oh, my this no-flame thing has generated a tremendous amount of
reponse!  Must be a burning issue......  Oh, dear!  And the other
metaphors that keep popping into my mind!  Since I only joined the
list last spring, I don't consider myself an oldie or a newbie, 
could I be a middie or a tweenie?  Drop that.  Reminds me of the
humor/no humor conflict last spring.  That one had us all hot under
the collar, walking on coals, blowing steam out our ears.  Could
it be that some of the flame-swallowers on the list are afraid they
might read one too many items while dispeptic.....what DOES a flame-
swallower do when s/he has gas?

Uh-oh.  I think I just re-established the connection between
writing and scatology.
