I agree with what you said.  When pressed for time, then do skip messages that
you're not interested in (as David said he's not reading anymore posts labelled
"syllabus" or "identity crisis).  I think it's interesting to watch the
dynamics of exchange on this list.


And it seems to me that, here on this list we have this discussion of protocol
about twice a year--once at the end of the Fall semester (when everyone is
grumpy and pressed for time) and once at the end of the Spring semester (when
everyone is grumpy and pressed for time).  Coincidence--I think not :)
