Hi, Roberta and Carmen,

I know what you mean about having an identity crisis. The Writing Centre
here used to be under the auspices of the School of GEneral Studies,
which was under the direction of the Division of General and Continuing
Education. Last year, General Studies was dissolved, so the Centre now
answers directly to the (new name, but nothing else changed) School of
Continuing Education. In both scenarios, the Coordinator of the Writing 
Centre has been classified (and classed, too) as an administrator, not
as a Facultyperson. ANd there's no Departmental affiliation, which has
often been a blessing.  This is sort of disjointed, isn't it? Sorry
about that. I'll go home now.
