My position is an endowed chair position that includes directing the wc, wac
program and school-wide writing program.  Although I teach electives through
the English dept., it is the academic dean and assistant headmaster that I
report to.  Since this position was created that way, my position is a unique
one not associated with a particular dept.  My assistant, however, does not
have faculty status.  I am fighting to get him that position, but have failed
so far. I also have other part-time help and student assistants, but none has
faculty status!
